We are STILL waiting for the grading and clearing permit to be approved.  When we started this process I thought we would be in the house by Halloween.  Very frustrating to have to wait
so long.  Good thing I've had a little distraction known as a kidney transplant (!) to keep me occupied!  Hopefully things will get rolling with the house by the end of the year.  I am looking forward to frequent postings when that happens.

Almost five weeks....

The First Week

Last week, April 24th, to be precise, we signed the contract with the builder. This means that within six months or so we should have a lovely new home to move into. The builder is Mandrin Homes. The model is the Wynbrook, chosen after months of viewing and discussing. The square footage will be at least double what we have now. We will be farther from the road, closer to the woods. Best of all, it will be functional, with new appliances, new everything, of course. I will try to update frequently, to keep a record of this summer, as I'm sure we will want to look back.
